NLP, otherwise known as Neuro Linguistic Programming is the most sophisticated performance focussed technology to create excellence, change and transformation in your thinking, language and behaviour.
Using NLP effectively will develop you to inspire yourself, your boss, colleagues, your team and friends to model excellence so that you can excel at what you do.
NLP will develop you to be an excellent communicator and build outstanding relationships with colleagues, employees, stakeholders and more.
Why NLP?
NLP was developed in the early 1970’s by John Grinder and Richard Bandler. At the time, they were both young graduates linguistics, mathematics and science at California University and their intention was to pattern models of human excellence in people that they considered being experts in their field.
Today, NLP is used by millions of people around the world to improve personal effectiveness and by thought leaders to build high performing teams and organisations.
Coding and patterning the modelling techniques they used and their own contributions created the name ‘Neuro Linguistic Programming’.
Neuro – the way you filter and process your experience through your senses
Linguistic – the way you interpret your experience through language
Programming – the way you code your language and behaviour into your own personal programme.
Neuro Linguistic Programming is how you make sense of your world and makes it what you want it to be. NLP focuses not on the content of your ‘story’ or ‘experience’ but on the format and style of your experience which builds behavioural competence.
‘The Map Is Not the Territory’
Your map of the world has a huge influence on how you communicate with yourself and with others. Unfortunately, communication mishaps mostly occur because the way you see the world is not the same as others.
How many times have you said ‘Didn’t you understand me when I said it before’ or ‘didn’t you hear me the first time?’ Both are right but unfortunately, so wrong.
As a manager used to operating at a strategic level, this miscommunication constrains how you maximise your interaction with others and subsequently fulfil theirs and your life experience.
NLP takes a different approach to the traditional format of training in the workplace. Our Facilitators at Diversity Leaders are Certified and Master NLP Practitioners and are experienced at working in the public and social housing sector.
